Daily Paintings
Older Works
Currently, I’m working as an independent artist and exploring alternative avenues for showing and selling my work. In mid May of 2010, I started creating a painting a day like some other artists were doing, to see what kind of creativity would show up from that kind of process. I did that through 2012.
I now have over 300 images. I believe these paintings wouldn’t have happened without the push to make something happen now, today. I love painting these. This experiment has literally transformed my work.
The Storytellers are very dear to me. Painted during a time of expanding creativity, they reflect internal questioning about the nature of being.
Women with Rocks are dark paintings. My largest works and the most detailed. There is two years of work in there.
The Circle and Matters series came out of an interest in memory and identity contrasted with time and space. I am not a scientist, but I love the curious things scientists discover and name.
I live in Sellwood, a neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, with my talented husband who is very creative with wood, words, and music. My children are grown and off being happy in the world. They are very talented and creative too, as you may guess.
